Good practice for precision measuring and sawing control
I learned a lot from measuring precisely to filing properly. My lines were not originally precise as I used a non user-friendly ruler so I had to make adjustments along the way. I had a long time filing the material to make it perfectly square, eventually I made something acceptable, but not perfect. To lubricate my saw blade, I used candle wax, so it blocked my lines when I was sawing so I frequently cleaned the lines. I used 1.5mm thick brass instead of the recommended 1.2mm. Overall, it was good practice. If I would do it again, I would get a better ruler to make the lines more precise.
