Great practice for precision scribing
Great practice for scribing precise lines and circles. If I would do it again, I would do the following: 1) Use a mini ruler for precision work so I would have the confidence to scribe deeper onto the plate 2) Use a .8mm or smaller drill bit, initially, to put a hole towards the back for the 12 point template, then once both templates have been scribed, I would finally use the ball burr for the rivet. What happened was, when I finished my 8 point template, I immediately used my 1.7mm ball burr to drill a hole towards the other side of the plate, so I when I was making the circles, the compass leg that was supposed to be fixed on the plate was moving because of the clearance 1.7mm hole.
