Really Great!
I am really excited to give this one a shot. I’ve played around with little basket settings, but this method seems SO MUCH EASIER. I think it’s a great technique, and I’m grateful that you released th whole video on Youtube. Thanks!
Cleo

Claw Round Basket Setting Review
I learned some very important details about how to set the stone. I especially appreciate showing how different tools can be used to get the work done and still have the work look professional. Thank you!

excellent!
I'm so glad that I stumbled upon this site! I've been metalsmithing for about 5 years now and was taking local classes from a 30+ year veteran in the business, Lona Northerner for just over three years. She is so talented and I have learned so much from her (and continue to do so!) Her work and sense of style is impeccable. However I needed to move on in order to keep learning and advancing my skillset beyond those I've developed in the class. This is my full time occupation. The online classes are just what I need at this juncture in my profession! The first tutorial ("four claw round basket setting", with the additional "setting the stone" was so very clear and concise in description. The instructor (Peter Keep) is so articulate and covers every millimeter of the project to a tee. The videography is perfection.I am new to incorporating stones into my work and was stumped on a project where I am trying to prong set peridots into a pair of earrings. While this project wasn't exactly about what I am currently working on I could easily adapt it to my project. I can't wait to watch the next tutorial! I plan on watching everything that's free in order to decide which project to purchase next. Thank you so very much for these tutorials!

Excellent
This has to be the best, easiest basket setting for someone just making their first basket setting. I believe I can most likely pull this one off, but wondering if I will be at a disadvantage with my torch, I use a butane torch. I have a smaller and larger size. It's hard to get precise with butane torches, though. I will give this a go with copper or brass to start with.
